![]() I for one am really interested in the other 2 main teams and what's gonna happen to them. ![]() I do agree with you on the fact that we don't know what's gonna happen. Endou and the bunch might not have had a good reason to play, but at least they had a lot of personality, something you really can't say about the new raimon. This raimon might have a good reason to play soccer, but this reason is not explored at all, it's never talked about. If you compare this match to the original raimon vs teikoku this one is just. We've only seen them obey the coaches weird orders and somehow coming up with overpowered hissatsus seemingly out of nowhere, they also seem to have no problem whatsoever with defeating everyone. By episode 10 of the original we had seen major character developement of some characters and minor developement of pretty much all of the other raimon players, I don't even know the names of the new characters, and they have not developed AT all. It's a dramatic undertaking and some aspects suck, but I'm positive this series will get better.īy episode 10 of the original series I knew most of the names of the original raimon and there were a lot of interesting characters with an acutal personality, I know nothing about the new raimon and to be honest I don't even really want to since they are not interesting at all. Strap in and be thankful that our old favorites are being revived in ways we couldn't imagine, all while we have at least 3 new teams of original characters. Who saw that IE1 would end with drugs? Who predicted the Dark Emperors plotline in IE2? Who knew from the first 10 episodes of Chrono Stone that Fei could be an enemy and Alpha, Beta, and Gamma allies? This is going to be a long ass ride, and IE is known for creating some pretty interesting plot lines in their stories. The fact that we're experiencing every match from multiple perspectives and competing allegiances should be seen as an improvement because honestly, how often have we ever really rooted for another team besides the main? ![]() I personally refuse to believe that they exhumed all of these voice actors to give them 2 episodes of action (especially after being enlightened that Ares is slated for 127 episodes). Secondly, we as a viewerbase have no idea what happens to any of these teams throughout the series. We have story lines that are a bit weak, but they exist. Don't forget some of these guys were replaced with Kidou and Domon and Ichinose. Inakuni had been playing soccer since the get go.Īs to the lack of character, are you seriously going to sit here and tell me after 10 episodes (3 of which were told from a different character's point of view) that the original Raimon had more captivating characters that you want to learn about? You all really cares about Shourinji, Shishido and Kageno? (I'm sure some of you cared about Handa and Max). Not all of them even played soccer but they kept winning. ![]() Contrast that with Endou's merry bunch in season one. They cannot afford to lose a single game or they quite literally lose the ability to play soccer together, so it's understandable why they win and how. Out of all the iterations of Raimon, this team by far has the most understandable motivation for playing soccer the way they do, particularly when compared to either the original Raimon or Raimon(GO). There's a super interesting trend of people complaining about this new Raimon and their plot armor but surprising lack of character.
